Vintage-Sportscar-Touring

Parts required: 6 inch length of 0.5 in ID heater hose; 10 inch length of 0.25 in ID rubber hose; four small hose clamps; rubber thimble 0.5 in ID; and PCV model CV727C (available in Canada from Parts Source outlets).

My BJ8 does not have a servo booster for the brakes therefore the vacuum can be achieved using the port on the intake manifold normally used in the servo circuit. Using a "y" fitting both the servo and the PCV could be accomodated. The rubber thimble is placed over the inlet on the rear air cleaner whence the tubing from the "T" breather outlet on the valve cover terminated. This setup was based on an idea advanced by Norman Nock

This setup does reduce oil leaking from the rear of the engine!
